Loughborough get back to winning ways and climb back to joint second

Loughborough got back to winning games after last week's disappointing performance at Manchester. A resilient Newcastle squad made it difficult for the students to get ahead, but two goals by England international Curtis Mason in the second half opened the can, with captain and England's top-man Will Rooke adding another two goals to his tally an Bruno Ribeiro topping up what would be a comfortable win.

The win allowed Loughborough to match Sussex points on the table and climb back to joint top 2, leaving the battle for second well open until the end of the season.
